Bear and
waterstation
During the summer, we have two activities that can be booked together.
Day 1 you arrive in the afternoon for a night in the bear hideout.
Day 2 breakfast buffet is served and then it is time for an exciting day at the Waterstation.
Experience wildlife at close quarters
After 15 hours in the bear hide you will be picked up in the morning.
After your breakfast the guide will take you to the next hide, where you can get, among other things, small birds, squirrels and woodpeckers very close by.
Adjustments Covid-19
We do not mix companies in the hide. A company of 2 persons get the whole hide for them selves. We would like to avoid single bookings as our rules doesnt allow guests to sit alone in case of emergency. IF you would like to book as a single person, you have to be okay to share the hide with one other person (of course someone that is healthy)
- We wear face mask and plastic gloves when we make welcome snack and breakfast buffet.
- Serving will be done outdoor, as far as possible, conserning to weather and season.
- If serving will be done indoors we will sit at a big and long table, with distance to each other.
- The company car has pvc glass between the seats.
- The hide is cleaned daily and after every guest. All surfaces are cleaned, sleeping bags airing, new pilow cases etc.
- The adjustments will be on as long as it is neccesary.
We follow the advise from Public Health Of Sweden

Arrangement
A modest sandwich is served on arrival and we go through all the practical information. After a short walk through the forest, the guide shows you the right way to hide and on your own you begin the exciting search. In the morning you will be picked up by the guide and breakfast buffet is served in the gallery.
When you feel ready, we go to the Water Station and decide the time together for collection. After 10 minutes drive and about 100 meters on foot you are there.
Photography
The bears usually stay 20-30 metres from the hide (as close as 6-7 metres). For photographing, 100-500 mm lens work well. Of course, it is also possible to use simpler cameras with shorter focal lengths, when shooting directly through the windows. The hide has 9 photo windows on 3 of the 4 walls. There are “bean bags” for the cameras in the hide and smart tripod solutions. Your own tripod heads/tripods do not work. Flash is not allowed.
At the Waterstation there are 3 different windows with the possibility to change the set up. Basic set up is a long one way glass (spy glass) 180 x 20 cm and 2 photo openings where you can place your camera. The water area starts right in front of the hide and goes up to 5 metres aways. For photographing, a lens within the range of 200-600 mm work well. Wildlife can be really close and a zoom is definitely the best option. Bean bags are provided and also tripod heads with arca swiss mount (one gimbal
Bear hide: You are safe and secure in the hide. The bears are very shy and the smallest sounds can make them run away. The hide has 2 beds, 140×200 cm (you can lie 2 in 1 bed) and a simple toilet. Blankets, sleeping bags and pillows are available, also warm slippers of various sizes and the floor has an insulating mat as well as rag rugs on top. There is good mobile coverage in the hide.
Waterstation: Suitable for 2 persons. The hide has been mostly built with recycled material. There is a customized foldable photo shelf so you can use your own tripod through the one way glass if you want to. The photo openings can be replaced by one way glass windows.
Please remember, there is no toilet in the hide
